Located in north-central portion, Clinton Hill is a neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York City. It is surrounded by Prospect Heights from the south, Brooklyn Navy Yard from the north, Classon Avenue from the east and Fort Greene from the west. ‘Hill’ in its name refers to the fact that neighborhood has a maximum elevation of 29m.
Many people moved to Clinton Hill due to health safety as the disease attacks the low-lying areas. The basic theme behind the name of the neighborhood is due to Clinton Avenue. DeKalb Avenue is the main thoroughfare here. Clinton Hill is also labelled as one of the most charming areas in the city with a blend of mansions, rowhouses, and apartment buildings.
