What you can Expect to Earn as a Part Time Agent

There is no fixed salary for real estate agents–they earn commission from the deals they make secure. The more properties sold or secured for lease the more money they earn. But, to be successful, just know the market isn’t enough. You should also have strong negotiation skills and be willing to network with others in the industry. And, most importantly, you should have the time to devote to staying on top of the latest market trends, which often means joining professional organizations and participating in networking events.

Join a Brokerage Firm

Brokerage firms manage real estate agents and they provide the platform on which agents advertise available properties for sale and rent. When researching a firm, consider its reputation in the industry. What do customers say about their experience with the firm and its agents? Did they feel satisfied with their services? Also, consider how each firm negotiates the commission rates for their agents.

Get Registered
