The digital technologies of the smart city help to improve the lives of citizens at all levels – people no longer have to spend time in traffic jams. Look for a parking space for a long time, worry about their safety, etc. It is first of all aimed at optimizing functions and promoting economic growth together with quality of life. Charlotte, North Carolina

The city of Charlotte is devoted to the aim of its resilience which is considered to be a striking instance of a smart city motion. By entering into a partnership with the Corporation of Microsoft the city could create a digital environment making it possible for the citizens to get online and obtain benefits from it. This will allow increased access to public WiFi and control of vehicle movement to minimize traffic jams and contamination of the atmosphere.
