The Position:

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our growing engineering team. This individual will be a key member of our team, making technical decisions that will shape the company’s future.

As an engineer at NY Rent Own Sell, you will have a large amount of ownership across the entire software delivery process. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and will be working daily with stakeholders across the company to create a data-driven real estate experience for our clients and agents.

What you'll do:

• Architect, lead implementation of converting current front-end as well as creating new highly componentized and decoupled applications in React and Redux
• Lead efforts in creating a new language-neutral backend micro-services architecture utilizing the latest backend technologies and techniques.
• Build new products that integrate with the company's CRM and Predictive Data Analytics platform

Who you are:

• Senior full-stack web engineer with at least 7 years of experience
• Experience working with relational (SQL) and noSQL databases
• 2+ years full-time working with Python, React, Redux, ES6+
• Strong web services implementation: REST, GraphQL, Swagger
• At lease 5 years of experience with Javascript, HTML and CSS3
• 1+ years with CSS preprocessors (SCSS, SASS), CSS3 animations and Flexbox
• 2+ years experience with front-end build tools: Webpack, Rollup
• 1+ years of experience with browser environment testing: Nightwatch, Phantom, Selenium, Casper
• Writing extensive unit tests using automated TDD (Jest preferred, Mocha, Chai, Sinon, Istanbul, Karma, Jasmine or the like)
• Strong knowledge of JWT and API security models

Bonus Skills and Experience:

• Start-up experience a plus
• Big plus for experience in GraphQL, Flow JS, Jest, Immutable
• D3.js, Leaflet, and other browser visualization libraries
